Sendmail Mail Server

Mail Server Course - 6 Weeks $349.00

This online Linux course is designed to provide students with the necessary skills to build a secure, scalable mail server that will provide POP3 and IMAP mail. Students will learn a step by step process in constructing a Cyrus IMAP server that is a "sealed server" providing excellent security and high speed functionality. How to reduce SPAM, and setup an Anti-Virus barrier to protect workstations and the server when accessing mail will also be provided. When students complete this course they should have a complete mail server solution.

Students will acquire skills as they study online text with graphics for illustrations as well as when they watch Flash Videos with voice. The skills students have learned are then applied on real servers so that they are involved in real training not just demos. Each student under the supervision of a qualified instructor will test their skills on each topic.

Each of the skills students will learn will be required on LPI, Red Hat RHCE or Linux + Certifications. Though this is not a certification course the skills learned will help in certification.

Course Practicals:
A course practical will be provided each week so that students can follow along and perform the exercises each week. Practicals are designed to be step by step to encourage success in training. Real training allows you to make mistakes with live consequences on real servers. The Course Practicals will be an invaluable reference for users after the course.

Expectations:
Students will need Internet access to perform tasks and should expect to work an average of 15+ hours each week to complete the course. The time spent on learning each task will depend on prior experience. Some experience with Linux and the Command Line would be very helpful in completing the class but not necessary. This course could be completed by new Linux user but they would need to spend more time learning concepts. Students will be able to work on the servers 24/7 during their course.
